Brow Lift Explained ✨ A botulinum toxin brow lift works by carefully balancing the muscles that pull the brows down with those that lift them. 💉 Botox in corrugator muscles (frown muscle) ❌ Prevents corrugator pulling inner brow down ➡️ Inner brow lift 💉 Botox in Superior Lateral Orbicularis Oculi Muscle (muscle around the eye) ❌ Prevents orbicularis oculi pulling outer brow down ➡️ Outer brow lift 💉 Botox in Medial Frontalis Muscle (forehead muscle) = increases the resting tone of the lateral frontalis ➡️ Outer brow lift By softening the depressor muscles, the brow can elevate naturally. Treating the forehead alone (the lifting muscle) can sometimes reduce lift, causing the brows to sit lower. By carefully assessing muscle activity, we can adjust treatment to either lift the brow or subtly correct asymmetry.
