Stop looking sad 😔 Many people think the downturned corners of the mouth are simply caused by the DAO muscle being “too strong” but it’s a little more complex than that. As we age, we gradually lose bone support and facial fat. This reduces the natural support and resistance around the lower face, allowing the DAO (depressor anguli oris) muscle to exert a greater downward pull on the corners of the mouth. This can create a tired, sad or unhappy appearance, even when you don’t feel that way.
