6ml Full Face Rejuvenation by Dr Claire 🤍✨ Facial volume loss can occur for many reasons, including ageing and significant weight loss. When the supportive fat pads of the midface reduce, the cheeks can appear flatter, shadows become more noticeable, and the face can lose some of its natural support. Following a thorough facial assessment, a bespoke treatment plan was designed. Rather than simply adding volume, we focused on understanding what had changed and restoring support where it had been lost. For this patient, 4ml of dermal filler was strategically placed across multiple midface fat compartments to restore structural support and soften the effects of volume loss. A further 2ml was then used to soften the chin shadows, creating a smoother transition and a more balanced appearance. Would you believe me if I told you this result was achieved without filler? ✨ This result was achieved by treating a gummy smile alongside a lip flip. The levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (LLSAN) and levator labii superioris (LLS) are two of the main muscles responsible for lifting the upper lip when you smile. When they’re overactive, they can expose more gum tissue than you’d like. By carefully relaxing these muscles, the upper lip doesn’t elevate as high. For the lip flip, the orbicularis oris (the muscle surrounding the mouth) is gently relaxed. This allows the upper lip to subtly roll outwards, making more of the pink lip visible and creating the appearance of a fuller lip without adding any volume. Every smile is unique.
